As your Sitter Session is slowly approaching, I would like to take a moment to share with you few tips that will better prepare you for the session and ensure it will go as smoothly and stress free as possible. I realise that we are in unprecedented times right now and you might be feeling a little nervous for your session, but rest assured, my studio is kept covid safe and will take the upmost care in protecting your little one during the session.

In order to help me create a successful session for you, please carefully read through the following information and try to follow it the best you can:

Parking:

Please park in the village hall car park. It’s free all day. Opposite the car park entrance are a set of wooden gates. I’m through those gates, first on the right (behind the hedge)

BEFORE THE SESSION:

• Please do not schedule vaccinations for your baby for the day before the session.

• Avoid dressing your baby in tight nappies or clothing, as they tend to leave marks on the baby’s skin.

• Make sure you have the studio’s address written down and on hand.

THE DAY OF THE SESSION:

• Please try to keep the baby in his/her usual routine which includes nap and feed times.

• Feed your baby before the session. If your baby is fed formula/juice bring some with you and make sure to bring enough baby snacks. We will make as many breaks as needed to feed /change your little one.

• It is best to dress your baby in loose clothing and something that is easy to take off.

• If you want your baby to be photographed in a special outfit, bring it with you.

• When the shoot is taking place I advise parents to sit comfortably on my sofa and enjoy the process. I try hard to get eye contact with the baby which is hard if you are standing too close, they will naturally be looking at you. Not all babies allow for this and need their parents closer which of course is absolutely fine. We want your little one to feel as safe and secure as possible. I will work hard to make the baby smile & you’ll hear me make some crazy noises in the process but sometimes it just doesn’t happen. It all depends on your little one. I will however, create beautiful images whether the baby is smiling or not.
